Zen Arquitetura Rotate Device!

ZEN Architektur was founded in 1999 by Anabela Macieira. She completed her diploma in 1997 on the innovative topic of a “Rotating flat building in Kassel with bi-facial solar panels” at the most traditional building school, HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts, in Germany.

She worked 2 years for a software engineering company and consulted large architectural departments such as Mercedes Benz, Stuttgart, on maximising their planning efficiency. In February 1999, she decided it was time to re-focus on sustainable architecture to benefit future generations and founded her architectual office ZEN-Architektur in Kaiserslautern. In 2003, she opened her office in Berlin and from 2004 until 2006, built the first ever Feng Shui and green architecture Kindergarten in Germany.  At the same time, she also specialised in low energy family houses, shop design according to Feng Shui principles and even obtained a Feng Shui Master certification from China.

In 2007, after being in Germany for 37 years, Anabela moved to Portugal, her birth place, to bring the low energy technologies to a country where the sun shines 1860 hours per year. This makes it the ideal place for low energy houses such as Passive and Zero energy houses.

She still travels regularly to Germany to consult with clients and develop Feng Shui and Low Energy projects.

Having an additional base in Esher, Surrey gives her the opportunity to work also in England. Please contact us, we are happy to visit your requested location.
